Bad Luck

I am now back in Wellington, New Zealand after suffering a very long and painful journey from Crete, Greece via Athens, Munich, Los Angeles, and Auckland. I left Saturday morning and arrived Monday morning.

The bad luck is that they lost my bags from LAX to AUK. They also lost my bags on my way to Florence. I hope this bad luck does not continue on my next overseas trip.

Alive and well in Crete

Well I made it to Crete, Greece. It seems very tourist and expensive. Staying in some expensive resort. I decided to go for a walk down near the beach resort. Most places are closed or getting renovated for the summer season. 

I decided to have a drink at one of the places by myself and got to have the most magnificent views of the area. 

Hanging out with Canadians

Hmm, being hanging out with Canadians recently. They seem more down to earth than the average Americans and are more like New Zealanders than I realized. Way cool.

In Firenze for CHI

In Florence, Italy for the CHI conference. Arrived a day or so early so that I can get over jetlag.

Made it up the Duomo. Florence is such a nice city to walk around in since everything is so close.
